The APS recommended fees for psychological appointments are $300 per session.
Dr. Rachael Sarah Haynes acknowledges the strain the prevailing economic conditions exert on individuals and families. In response, she extends a reduced rate for her services, below the APS recommended fee. Operating from her residential clinic affords her the opportunity to forgo office rental expenses, enabling her to transfer these savings to her clients.

To see Rachael and claim Medicare rebates, make a long appointment with a GP or see a Psychiatrist. They will make an assessment about your eligibility and may refer for psychological treatment under a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) and related referral.
Eligible clients with a MHTP and a referral are entitled to claim Medicare rebates as follows:
- up to 10 individual Psychology sessions claimable per calendar year.
- Upfront Standard Consultation Cost (50 mins): $200.00
- Medicare Rebate: $93.35
At the end of the appointment, Rachael will organise the required payment and will provide the Medicare rebate through her practice software system. Bank account details that are linked to Medicare are required, to enable Rachael to organise the rebate for you.

Rachael is an approved WorkCover/CTP Queensland and NSW provider.
Rachael provides psychological assessment and intervention to clients who experience a work-related psychological or physical injury.
For those clients who are referred for psychological therapy under WorkCover/CTP Queensland or NSW, sessions provided through WorkCover will be initially approved with your provider and fees will be claimed directly from them.
WorkCover psychological services focuses solely on achieving a sustainable return to pre-injury employment abilities.

Private health care insurance may be eligible for a rebate of psychological services.
Fees are payable up-front to Rachael, who will provide you with a receipt and then you are able to contact your private health insurance provider to find out more about eligibility for claiming a rebate for the psychological sessions.

Referrals are not required to attend to see a psychologist on a private basis. For those clients who are privately funded, the consultation fees is $200.00 for each 50 minute session.

Rachael is unable to offer a bulk bill psychological service. For low cost services, consider contacting your local University Psychology clinic or community counselling services.
