How can an assessment help me?

The results of the assessment show areas of strength and weakness which can help you to maximize your learning, further enhance areas of strength, and compensate or develop areas of weakness.

People often say that adult assessment  helps them to:

  • understand their own abilities better
  • focus on areas of strength and develop their potential in these areas
  • understand what to do to overcome barriers to progress at work and home
  • receive appropriate support from government services or other services.

Walk and Talk Therapy - New Beith

Individual Therapy (Face to Face/Telehealth)

Individual Therapy (Face to Face/Telehealth)

The benefits of 'walk and talk therapy' are numerous. Nature-based 'walk and talk' therapy involves the use of evidence-based therapies (CBT and ACT). Walk and talk therapy is particularly useful for people who feel they become overwhelmed by the intimacy of therapy in a clinic setting.

Walk and talk therapy's benefits include:

  • Natural environments unwinds our nervous systems, thus quelling anxiety, rumination and can soothe the mind.
  • I improved mood due to exposure to fresh air, natural light and light exercise.
  • Walking together can build therapeutic rapport.
  • Therapeutic conversations are more relaxed, and are often at a 'deeper' level.
  • Being outside and moving whilst talking about difficulties can create a distance to be able to explore new perspectives and strategies for reducing the difficulties.
  • Walk and talk sessions are conducted in the New Beith Forest locality.

She can also accommodate a sit and talk, for some of the walk and talk therapy session.
